Maharajganj: A case of the murder of an old farmer guarding the field with a sharp weapon has come to notice at Tola Bhagavatnagar in Uditpur in Faranda police station area of Mehrajganj district of Uttar Pradesh. Panic broke out in the area after the carnage. As soon as the incident was reported, a huge crowd of people gathered nearby. The police rushed to the notice and got into the scrutiny of the case. The Superintendent of Police (SP) also rushed to the spot to take up the incident.

The deceased farmer has been identified as Bhagavatnagar resident Munnilal Maurya (70). Munnilal, like every day, slept in a thatch on the farm after dinner on Friday night. When he did not reach home for a long time on Saturday morning, his little Anjani went to the field to call him. Anjani screams at Munnilal's body. A little later, people were gathering. Munnilal's head was attacked with a machete. The whole body was soaked with blood.

According to Khabar, Munnilal was not married. One of his brothers Nandal Maurya lives in Nautanwa area. The rest of the two brothers Hansraj Maurya and Banshraj Maurya live in the village. Munnilal had given his share of the property to Hansraj's sons for four years. There was discord in the family, but it was all right later. The police are currently investigating the matter. Police have claimed that the case will be disclosed soon.
