Sensex, Nifty Stock Prices Updates: On Wednesday morning, bulls continued their attempted comeback as domestic markets soared higher. The S&P BSE Sensex gained more than 400 points, or 0.81 percent, to break through 56,700, while the Nifty 50 index gained 120 points, hovering around 16,900. The Bank Nifty gained more than 1 percent , and broader markets followed suit. The top gainer on the Sensex was IndusInd Bank, which was up 2 percent , followed by State Bank of India, Tata Steel, Bajaj Finance, and Reliance Industries. The only stocks in the red were Tech Mahindra and Asian Paints. Metro Brands, backed by Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, made a tepid debut on stock exchanges on Wednesday, 22 December 2021. Metro Brands shares began trading at Rs 436 per share, a Rs 64 or 12.8 percent decrease from the IPO price of Rs 500 per share. Today's gold price: On Wednesday, gold prices in India were trading lower, following the lead of the international market. Gold February futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange were trading Rs 141, or 0.3 percent , lower at Rs 48,099 per 10 gram, compared to the previous close of Rs 48,240. Silver futures for March delivery were trading at Rs 61,906 per kg, up Rs 101 or 0.16 percent. Koo App At 10.00 a.m., Sensex traded at 56,747 points, up 0.8%.
