MP: Resignation of junior doctors has no significance: Commissioner B Chandrasekhar

Jabalpur: Jabalpur division commissioner B Chandrashekhar has recently said, "The resignation of the striking junior doctors is of no importance as they are not a government employee". Not only that, the Commissioner has also warned the junior doctors that the high court has expired. The junior doctors should returned to work. In fact, the Madhya Pradesh High Court has directed the Shivraj Singh government to take strict action against junior doctors who are on a strike to stop treatment during the epidemic crisis.

Action has been initiated to cancel the registration of some doctors. Doctors, on the other hand, said their strike will not end till the demand is met. Similarly, Madhya Pradesh Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang says, "We spoke to them and listened. They are not willing to talk to us". The High Court has said that the strike is unconstitutional and they should return to work. They should follow the high court's decision and ensure that the patient is not harmed.

Beyond all this, the director of medical education, Dr. Ulka Srivastava says "The junior doctors who went on strike are basically students of medical colleges. They gain experience by treating patients. It is a practical for them and it is not mandatory to pay for the practical".
