Reliance Industries Ltd held its 47th Annual General Meeting (AGM) today, where Chairman Mukesh Ambani presented exciting new developments. Addressing around 3.5 million shareholders, Ambani highlighted several key updates, including the launch of Jio AI-Cloud, a significant move towards expanding access to artificial intelligence and cloud storage for users. Ambani announced the Jio AI-Cloud Welcome offer, reflecting the company’s vision of "AI Everywhere For Everyone." This initiative provides Jio users with up to 100 GB of free cloud storage. The service allows users to securely store and access their photos, videos, documents, and other digital content. For those needing additional storage, Jio promises competitive pricing. The Jio AI-Cloud Welcome offer is set to launch around Diwali this year, aiming to make cloud storage and AI-driven services widely accessible across the country. In addition to this, Ambani revealed plans to develop a nationwide AI infrastructure. This includes the creation of large-scale, AI-ready data centers in Jamnagar, powered entirely by Reliance's green energy initiatives. This move underscores the company's dedication to sustainability and aims to offer the most cost-effective AI inferencing solutions globally. Reliance seeks to make advanced AI technologies more affordable and accessible in India. The company will also roll out Jio TvOS, a completely home-grown operating system for the Jio Set Top Box. Kiran Thomas, President of Reliance Jio, noted that Jio TvOS will feature advanced home entertainment options such as Ultra HD 4K video, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos.
