Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a 2.5 km long roadshow in Mumbai's Ghatkopar, starting at 8 pm from Shreyas Cinema on LBS Road and concluding at Gandhi Market on Wednesday, May 15. To ensure smooth proceedings and security, Mumbai Police has issued traffic guidelines for the day. Several routes, including LBS Road in Ghatkopar, will be temporarily closed to vehicles. According to official reports, LBS Road will shut down from Gandhi Nagar junction to Naupada junction, while the Mahul-Ghatkopar road will be closed from Meghraj junction to RB Kadam junction from 2 pm to 10 pm. Additional road closures include the Andheri Ghatkopar Link Road from Ghatkopar Junction to Sakinaka Junction, the Gulati petrol pump junction from Hiranandani Kailas Complex Road, and from Golibar Maidan to Ghatkopar Metro Station (West) toward Sarvodaya Junction. In light of these closures, traffic will be diverted to alternative routes such as the Eastern Express Highway, Western Express Highway, Andheri-Kurla Road, Saki Vihar Road, MIDC Central Road, Santacruz Chembur Link Road (SCLR), Sion Bandra Link Road, and Jogeshwari Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR). The recent billboard collapse incident in Ghatkopar led to traffic congestion and necessitated these road closures as rescue operations unfolded. PM Modi's Maharashtra Visit The roadshow, aimed at garnering support for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Mihir Kotecha from the Ghatkopar seat, commences at 8 pm from Shreyas Cinema and concludes at Gandhi Market. Voting for the Ghatkopar constituency, along with others in Mumbai, is scheduled for May 20, marking the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha election. Prior to the roadshow, PM Modi will address election rallies in Dindori and Kalyan. This event comes in the wake of a tragic incident where a massive hoarding collapsed in Ghatkopar, claiming 14 lives and injuring 75 others. The collapse occurred amidst heavy rains and dust storms across Mumbai on Monday evening. Lok Sabha Elections: Mumbaikars' Special Treat After Voting!
