Mumbai: Young man strangled in wedding ceremony

Mumbai: The wedding ceremony was going on with great pomp in a marriage hall in Ulhasnagar, adjoining Mumbai, Mayanagar, that suddenly a fight started between some boys and on seeing this, the atmosphere of laughter turned into sorrow. The event is on Thursday afternoon. Ravi Manjule, a resident of Dombivli, was married in the Monica Marriage Hall of Camp No.2. Apart from Ravi Suresh Shinde, resident of Manpada campus of Dombivli, Prem alias Sonya Eknath Shinde, a resident of Badlapur, was also involved in this marriage ceremony along with another friend.

As the wedding ceremony was going on, Sonya Shinde uttered abuses for Ravi's mother. There was an argument between Ravi Shinde and Sonya Shinde on this matter. Angry about this, Sonya Shinde, along with her friend Rahul Rajbhar, started beating Ravi with a kick and then stabbed him and dropped him on the ground. The guests at the wedding felt that Ravi had fainted.

He was immediately rushed to the intermediate hospital. Where doctors called Ravi Shinde dead. On receiving the information about the murder incident, senior police inspector of Ulhasnagar police station, Sushil Javale, Crime Pi Gore, API Tadakhe, API Chaudhary and other officials reached the spot. Police registered Tahrir at the behest of the deceased Ravi Shinde's elder brother Vijay Shinde and senior police inspector Sushil Javale formed three teams to nab the accused. Through the mobile location, the police arrested the main accused Sonya Shinde from Manpada area of Dombivli in two hours. According to the police, the deceased youth Ravi Shinde and Sonya Shinde are cousins among themselves.
