Congress brushed aside Narasimha Rao, grandson says, ask apology from Gandhi family

Hyderabad: The grandson of former PM Narasimha Rao has accused the Congress of ignoring his grandfather. Narsimha Rao's grandson NV Subhash has demanded an apology from the Congress for ignoring the former PM. NV Subhash said on Friday that the Congress bypassed PV Narasimha Rao to focus on the Nehru-Gandhi family.

He said Sonia and Rahul Gandhi should apologise for ignoring former PM Narasimha Rao. Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson N V Subhash said that Narasimha Rao's birth anniversary is today but Congress leaders did not honour former PM Rao on his birth anniversary. After the 1996 defeat, the Congress sidelined Narasimha Rao for a number of reasons. Talking to the press, the BJP leader said that the Congress party thinks that if no preference is given to anyone other than the Gandhi-Nehru family, nobody will pay any attention to them, which is why Narasimha Rao was sidelined.

N V Subhash has said that all the failures of the Congress party were blamed on the head of PV Narasimha Rao, but his contribution was not credited to him. I demand Sonia and Rahul Gandhi to apologise for this and pay homage to the former PM.
