Nagarjuna fulfils his promise, donates crores for development of forest area

An urban forest park is going to be built in the Chengicherla forest area on the outskirts of Hyderabad. South superstar Nagarjuna has also laid the foundation stone along with Shri J. Santosh Kumar, MP from Green India Challenge Prerna. On the occasion of CM Shri K. Chandrasekhar Rao's birthday, taking inspiration from the Green India Challenge, he has announced that he is adopting 1080 acres of forest land.

Nagarjuna had come in the name of his father Akkineni Nageswara Rao to set up an urban park in the Chengicherla forest area on the outskirts of Hyderabad. Along with Shri J. Santosh Kumar, MP, Nagarjuna along with his family members also participated in the foundation stone laying ceremony. Akkineni Nagarjuna, Amala, sons Naga Chaitanya and Nikhil and other family members were also there. For the development of the forest area, Nagarjuna has also donated a cheque of Rs 2 crore to the Harita Nidhi as per the chief minister's imagination.

Nagarjuna took part in the programme and also planted several saplings. He has said that he is happy that he laid the foundation stone of the urban forest park, as he announced at the event. This forest area is going to be of great help to the people living in the park colonies.

Nagarjuna fulfils his promise: MP Santosh Kumar lauded Nagarjuna for coming forward to participate in the Green India Challenge programme. The MP had announced that with the establishment of the Urban Park in the name of A Nageswara Rao, one lakh saplings will be planted in the vacant areas and that programme has also been started.
