Narottam Mishra pays tribute on death anniversary of Sarojini Naidu

Bhopal: Today i.e. Tuesday is the death anniversary of Sarojini Naidu, popularly known as Kokila of India. In such a situation, state Home Minister Narottam Mishra has tweeted and paid a humble tribute to him on this occasion. In his tweet, Home Minister Narottam Mishra has written, "Hundreds of salutes and humble tributes on the death anniversary of Sarojini Naidu, a great freedom fighter, well-known poet, social worker, and India's famous Kokila. Her contribution to nation-building along with women's empowerment in the country is invaluable.''

At the age of 14, Sarojini Naidu had studied the works of all English poets. In 1895, the Nizam of Hyderabad sent him to England on a stipend. Sarojini Naidu was a talented student during her time.

Sarojini Naidu had a good knowledge of English, Bangla, Urdu, Telugu, and Persian languages and along with this Sarojini Naidu became the first woman governor of Uttar Pradesh. He fought hard to get independence for India. Sarojini Naidu suffered a heart attack on 2 March 1949 at the age of 70 and died thereafter.
