Bhopal gas tragedy: Four organisations campaigning for justice charge Centre, State of continued collusion with Union Carbide

In the wake of the 35th anniversary of the gas tragedy in Madhya Pradesh city of Bhopal in 1984, four organizations campaigning for justice accused the Center and the state government of continuing collusion with Union Carbide and Dow Chemicals.

According to media reports, organizations named Bhopal Gas Victim Women's Stationery, Bhopal Gas Victim Mahila Purusha, Bhopal Group for Information and Action Sangharsh Morcha and Children Against Dow Carbide addressed a press conference here and received under Right to Information (RTI) Presented many documents. A study conducted by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) can be used to confirm a curative petition for additional compensation for a disaster.

In his statement, Rachna Dhingra, a member of the Bhopal Group for Information and Action, said that the documents we have received this year from NIRHH (National Institute for Research on Environmental Health) show that its parent organization, ICMR, has obtained the results of a study. Has decided not to publish, in which birth defects are found many times in the children of mothers affected by the gas tragedy. Which is a serious matter, due to which the Bhopal gas scandal has happened.
