Chandigarh: Navjot Singh Sidhu today took over the reins of punjab congress in the presence of CM Captain Amarinder Singh. Addressing the workers on the occasion, Sidhu said that the workers will be enthusiastic and create a new Punjab. He said the issue of farmers and employment is of paramount importance to me. The captain was present on the stage of Sidhu's coronation, but the two still saw some tension. When Sidhu got a chance to speak on stage, his body was a language. He stood up enthusiastically and touched the feet of a select few and took blessings. He said that today the farmers of the country are staging dharna on the streets, this is the biggest issue. He said our first issue is farmers and employment. Sidhu said every farmer in Punjab is the pradhan. We are worried about the farmers sitting in Delhi. Praising the workers, he said that the trust of the workers is the voice of God. The worker in the Congress is the only chief. Sidhu further said that no party can grow up without an activist. He will work closely with Captain Amarinder Singh. The Congress will not back down from its 18-point agenda. Earlier, Captain Amarinder Singh referred to his relationship with Sidhu's father and said that Sidhu was promoted to the Army when he was born.
