Ranchi: Naxalites blew up a railway track in Chakradharpur railway division of Jharkhand on Sunday night. This has stopped traffic on Howrah-Mumbai main rail route. According to reports, Naxalites blew up the railway track by installing landmines near Lotapahar in Chakradharpur railway division. The event is at 2.15 p.m. The operation of trains in Chakradharpur railway division has been stopped since the incident. This has completely stopped the operation of trains on howrah-Mumbai main railway line. Passenger trains are stopped at different stations of Chakradharpur railway division. The Azad Hind Express train is said to have been targeted and the railway track was blown up, but the naxalites could not succeed in their mission. No train has been damaged in the incident. In fact, naxalites are opposing the ongoing campaign to eliminate naxalites. Naxalites today called for bharat bandh on April 26. District police, RPF as well as railway officials rushed to the spot after reports of the railway track being blown up. The spot is being investigated and action is being taken to restore normal operation of trains by repairing the railway track at the earliest.
