New Delhi: Maharashtra Nationalist Congress Party Chief Sharad Pawar today met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In fact, the two leaders met at the Prime Minister's Residence. The meeting lasted for about 1 hour. The meeting took place around 10:30 a.m. Earlier yesterday Sharad Pawar met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and in meanwhile the Union Cabinet has expanded recently. Meanwhile, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was considered the main contender. But Fadnavis did not become a part of the Union Cabinet. It is now clear that political equations are sometimes being created and sometimes deteriorating in Maharashtra. Shiv Sena, on the other hand, has made it clear that it is still standing there waiting from where the BJP left it. That is, whenever the BJP-Shiv Sena government is formed in the state, the same old 50-50 formula will be applicable. This means Devendra Fadnavis cannot become chief minister in an alliance with Shiv Sena. Talking about ncp, Devendra Fadnavis may become the Chief Minister. Because of this, he did not join the Union Cabinet. Yesterday, Sharad Pawar held two meetings in Delhi. One was with Piyush Goyal and the other with Rajnath Singh. It remains to be seen what comes out next and what was the reason for the meeting between Chief Sharad Pawar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
