Political turmoil begins in Nepal, demand for PM KP Oli's resignation intensifies

Kathmandu: The ruling Communist Party in Pal seems to be stuck in internal disputes. Rebellion is seen within the party itself. The demand for the resignation of PM KP Sharma Oli has intensified. Pushp Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' is at the forefront who has said that PM Oli has failed on every front, so he should resign. Prachanda is also the head of the Communist Party.

Prachanda has threatened to even split the party if PM Oli does not resign. He said that he regrets party unity with Oli and this unity was his biggest political mistake. Prachanda also has the support of two former PMs of the party. Madhav Nepal and Jhalnath Khanal are also in favour of Oli's resignation. Oli is in the minority in both the Secretariat and the Standing Committee of Nepal Communist Party. Now they are ready to change the cabinet to save the post.
