Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's great grandson meets Karnataka CM Bommai, discusses the issue

Bangalore: Chandra Kumar Bose, the great grandson of freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, met Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday on the occasion of the country's 75th Independence Day. A statement issued by the CM office said Bose and his family members met him at 'Krishna', the office at Bommai's residence.

CM Bommai recalled Subhas Chandra Bose's struggles and sacrifices for the country's independence during the meeting. With this picture of the meeting, Chandra Kumar Bose tweeted, "Met Hon'ble Chief Minister of Karnataka Basavaraj Bommai. He is a big fan of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The proposal to celebrate Netaji's 125th birth anniversary in a suitable manner was discussed. Jai Hind.''

On the occasion of Independence Day on Sunday, Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai had said that he was committed to resolving all water disputes including Mekedatu reservoir near Cauvery river, Mahadayi drinking water project, and the third phase of the Upper Krishna Project. Earlier on August 13, Chandra Kumar Bose had written a letter to PM Narendra Modi saying that he should not forget to mention Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Azad Hind Fauj in his address from the Red Fort.
