Newly elected BJP corporators tried to surround the Pragati Bhavan on Tuesday

Hyderabad : BJP corporators newly elected to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Tuesday tried to encircle Pragati Bhavan. The newly elected BJP corporators were sworn in and demanded the formation of an administrative council.

Tensions continue near the Telangana Chief Minister's camp office Pragati Bhavan. However, as a precautionary measure, the police, who had set up adequate security arrangements near Pragati Bhavan, arrested the corporators who tried to surround the Pragati Bhavan. There was also a discussion between the police and BJP leaders on the occasion.

BJP leaders said they were elected by the people in a democratic system. In such a situation, they are accountable to the people. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. The corporators were outraged at the arrest as the police were arresting them like rowdies. BJP corporators chanted slogans against the government saying that KCR and KTR were degraded.

Earlier, a meeting chaired by former BJP MLA Chinthala Ramachandra Reddy was held at Harita Plaza condemning the death of Lingojiguda corporator Akula Ramesh Gaur who died of a chronic illness.
