Mumbai: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken major action against underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's D-company. The NIA today raided 20 locations in Mumbai. These 20 hideouts belong to Dawood's sharpshooters, smugglers, and real estate managers of D-Company. Along with this, raids have also been conducted on several hawala operators. In the case in which the raid has been conducted, is the same case in which the ED arrested NCP leader Nawab Malik. Nia has carried out raids at 20 locations in Borivali, Santacruz, Bandra, Nagpada, Goregaon, and Parel. According to information, on the orders of the Home Ministry, the NIA had registered a case against Dawood Ibrahim, D-Company, on which the investigation and the raids are being carried out. D-Company is a terrorist organization banned by the United Nations (UN). Dawood, an accused in the 1993 Mumbai blasts, was considered a global terrorist by the UN in 2003. A $25 million reward was also announced on him. The investigation of the case related to Dawood Ibrahim was handed over to the NIA by the Home Ministry in February 2022.
