Special Public Prosecutor Rajeev Mohan, appearing for Tihar Jail administration in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Dharmendra Rana, said that all the legal options of Vinay Sharma, Akshay Kumar and Mukesh Kumar Singh have been exhausted. At the same time, it is being said that Pawan has not filed a corrective petition yet. There is no pending plea of a convict, so a death warrant should be issued.

This petition was filed by Nirbhaya's parents and the Delhi government to fix a new date for hanging the four convicts. Recently, the Supreme Court said that no plea of the culprits is pending and the mercy petition of three has been rejected by the President. The fourth did not opt for mercy petition, in which case the lower court can issue a new death warrant. Significantly, on January 22, 2020 and February 1, a death warrant was issued, but both of them could not be hanged.
