Nirmala Sitharaman's befitting reply to Sonia Gandhi over citizenship law

New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the interim president of Congress, Sonia Gandhi is misleading people on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Nirmala Sitharaman said that Sonia Gandhi is unfairly comparing CAA to NRC, whose draft has not even been prepared yet. Nirmala has said that the protesters should first read the law and if necessary they should seek clarification.

Nirmala has said that people should stay away from those who are misleading them by spreading violence and fear. By adding it, they are creating fear, while the draft NRC is also not ready yet. "

Sitharaman said that she appeals to every citizen of the country that the people of the disheartened Congress, TMC, AAP and the Left parties are not influenced. She said that the Citizenship Amendment Act is not meant to take away citizenship of any Indian. She has stressed that this law has no relation with any Indian citizen.
