Neeta Ambani said this about the role of women in sports

New Delhi: Nita Ambani, wife of India's richest industrialist and famous businessman Reliance Group chairman Mukesh Ambani, spoke about increasing the role of women in sports. Neeta Ambani is the founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation. She is also the first Indian woman member of the International Olympic Committee.

Owner of Indian Premier League (IPL) team Mumbai Indians, Nita Ambani said in her speech that India is achieving new heights in all areas and includes sports.

Nita Ambani spoke about India's potential by referring to the broadcasting rights of the IPL and the viewership of the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Citing the example of young athlete Hima Das, Nita Ambani said that if she did not have facilities, she prepared by running barefoot.
