Meanwhile, Himachal Information Commission has not taken action even after delay in giving RTI information related to doctors due to COVID-19. It was argued in the commission that if there was a delay in reporting the business in prevention of corona infection. The commission disposed of the request of Brij Kumar, a resident of Solan. Meanwhile, in the petition filed with the Chief Information Commissioner, the appellant said that there was a deliberate delay in getting the information sought by the Health Department. In such a case, action should be taken against the Public Information Officers of the department under the Act. This information was sought to be related to the date of interview, date of appointment, etc. between January 1, 2020 and January 31, 2020. The Public Information Officer forwarded it to the State Secretariat. The applicant said that there was a deliberate delay in giving information. Public Information Officer said in his statement that 84 pages of information have been given to the applicant. There was also talk of not getting information from the department in front of the Commission due to the busyness in prevention of COVID-19. The Commission admitted that this was the reason for the delay. Meanwhile, the cases of corona are continuously increasing in the country. It is necessary that we protect ourselves.
