The number of coronavirus cases in Telangana dropped on Sunday. While 9443 tests were done wherein 983 cases were found to be positive. The result of another 1414 samples remains to be seen. Eleven people died in 24 hours due to Kovid. This brings the number of corona deaths in the state to 551. The total number of corona cases in the state has reached 67,660.

Currently, there are 18,500 active cases. The recovery rate was 71.8 percent. Eighty-four percent of corona victims in the state do not show tragic symptoms. Out of the 983 cases registered on Sunday, 273 were registered in Greater Hyderabad (GHMC), 73 in Rangareddy, 57 in Warangal Urban, 54 in Karimnagar, 48 in Medchal, 44 in Peddapalli, 42 in Nizamabad and 37 in Sangareddy. Only one case was reported in Manchirala.

This is the first time in recent times that such a small number of Kovid cases have been registered in Hyderabad. But the number of corona victims has dropped as fewer tests have been done since Sunday. Only Asifabad, Narayanpet, Nirmal, Vikarabad and Yadadri Bhubaneswar districts have the lowest number of corona cases. Covid cases are also less in Janagama, Jagittala, Bhupalpally and Vanaparthi districts. But the rising number of cases in Warangal Urban, Karimnagar and Sangareddy districts is a cause for concern.
