New Delhi: German Ambassador Philipp Ackermann has given a very important statement in an interview regarding the India-China border dispute. He has said that the skirmish between Indian and Chinese soldiers along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh is a matter of concern and international borders should not be violated there. Philipp Ackermann has also said that both India and Germany are in touch with each other regarding the issues of Russia and China. Responding to a question about the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the European Union and India, Ackermann said, 'We want this agreement to happen. Due to FTA, unprecedented changes will be seen in our business relationship with India.' The German diplomat further said that Germany is heavily dependent on China. We have to increase trade with other countries as well. He said that it is unfortunate that India is not our priority as much as it should be. German Ambassador Philipp Ackermann made it clear that in terms of development, population, and other aspects, there is no other country in the world that can compete with China except India. He said that people still look towards Malaysia or Vietnam when it comes to business. I don't understand why they do this. Perhaps one reason for this is the protectionist environment in India and some regulatory issues.
