Second wave of corona has not affected this village, not a single person has been infected

While the second wave has created a stir across the country amidst the corona crisis, a village in Dharwad district of Karnataka has been saved from the worst outbreak of corona. The second wave across the country led to the highest number of deaths every day. Not only that, the death toll also crossed the 6,000 mark. The daily tele-cases reached more than 4 lakhs. While the second wave of corona was wreaking havoc across the country, Allapur village in Dharwad remained unaffected by the wave.

In Allapur village, not a single case of corona was reported due to second wave and no death was registered. Mallikarjun Raddar, Chairman, Corona Task Force, Allapur Gram Panchayat said that not a single corona infected case has been reported in our village so far. A local man said, "I have a hotel, but because of corona, I didn't open it and let it stay closed so that the infection didn't spread. We followed the social divide and did not visit other villages".

The figures for corona infection cases in Karnataka have declined drastically. 3,709 new cases of corona infection were reported here on Tuesday. After which the total number of infected persons has now increased to 28,15,029 in the State. With the death of 139 more patients, the death toll has reached 34,164. The Health Department said that the total number of people who recovered after 8,111 people recovered from the virus during the day has gone up to 26,62,250. According to the department, the number of active patients is 1,18,592.
