Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) is preparing to launch new special editions of the Activa and Dio scooters in India ahead of the festive season in 2021. The type approval paperwork filed with the Delhi RTO has disclosed the new information. The Honda Activa 6G will be available in two updated versions, while the Dio scooter will be available in four new models.The 109.51cc single-cylinder engine will be used in both models. In the Activa 6G, this powertrain will produce 7.68hp at 8,000rpm and 8.79Nm at 5,250rpm, while the Dio's engine will produce 7.65hp at 8,000rpm and 9Nm at 4,750rpm. The Activa will be available in two versions, according to the type approval document: Activa 6G and Activa 6G LED. One of the trims may have an all-LED system, as the name indicates. In addition, the business may introduce newer components, such as alloy wheels, to replace the old Activa 6G, which only has steel wheels. The new Dio will be available in four different versions. Dio with composite cast wheels, a digital speedometer, composite cast wheel and 3D emblem, and digital speedometer and 3D symbol are among the scooter's variations, according to the new document. For comparison, the Repsol Honda version of the scooter is presently the only one with alloy wheels. The new Honda scooter versions are expected to be launched in the next weeks, just in time for the holiday season of 2021. More information will be available prior to the scooters' debut.
