NIA to investigate Harsha murder case will open up many important secrets

Bangalore: The investigation into the murder of Bajrang Dal activist Harsha in Karnataka last month has been handed over to the NIA. The Karnataka Police has handed over the file of Harsha's murder to the NIA and now further investigation will be conducted by the NIA. Police have named 10 people as accused in Harsha's murder case. Out of these ten accused, nine are aged between 20 and 23 years, while one of the accused is 30 years old. Karnataka Police had imposed a UAPA against the accused on March 2. It is being told that now the NIA will take custody of these accused in its own hands to investigate the case.

According to the police report, on 20th February, a boy named Harsha was murdered in beech bazaar by some people in the Bharati Nagar area of Shivamogga, about 300 km from Bengaluru. According to the police, the accused committed the crime intending to create panic and tension in the area. An official on condition of anonymity had said that these men, armed with dangerous weapons, brutally killed Harsha in the beach market to create panic among a section of the society. After the investigation proved this, the police had said that it was not necessary to commit an organized crime to impose UAPA. If any crime is committed with the aim of creating panic in society, then UAPA can be imposed.

Let us know that after the death of Harsha, there was a lot of violence in the area. Veteran BJP leader and cabinet minister KS Eshwarrappa and BJP MP from Shivamogga VY Raghavendra had joined Harsha's funeral procession in violation of the order. Stones were also thrown at the houses of a particular community during this period, which had led to communal tension in the area. Since then, there has been a demand from the BJP government to get the Harsha murder case investigated by the NIA.
