BOUDH: Based on reliable info, a team from the Special Task Force (STF) launched a raid on March 22 evening near the Boudh Bypass Road PS with the help of forest officials from the Boudh Forest Division. Two wildlife criminals, Uchhab Kanhar S/o. Bighna Kanhar of Jamukhol, Tikripada, and Dhadalapada PO: Baghiapada, provided the STF with information about the sale and possession of wildlife products by wildlife criminals. According to the Wild Life Protection Act of 1972, it is a schedule-I protected animal. Absolute protection is provided under Schedule I, and the harshest penalties are listed for offences committed there. A special investigation is being conducted against wildlife offenders and poachers, and more work is being done in this area.
