Odisha: BJD MLA crushes mob with car

Bhubaneswar: Prashant Jagdev, the suspended Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MLA from Odisha's Chilika assembly constituency, crushed the crowd that had gathered for the elections in his car. About 23 people were injured in the incident, in which seven policemen, including a woman policeman on duty, were seriously injured. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital. 

However, after the accident, angry people completely damaged the MLA's car. Around 500-600 people had gathered with various political parties for the election of chairman in Banpur block of Khurda district. At the same time, MLA Jagdev reached the block and forcibly crushed the crowd from the car and proceeded ahead. As a result, seven policemen on duty along with 23 others were badly injured. 

After the accident, angry people present at the spot completely damaged the MLA's car. At the same time, amid the loud commotion, people assaulted the MLA, leaving him injured. The MLA along with all other injured have been admitted to the hospital.
