Odisha Govt contributes Rs 11 lakh to CM fund for Amphan cyclone relief work

In the midst of the Corona crisis, Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal has contributed 11 lakhs to the Chief Minister's fund for the cyclone Amfan Relief work in the state. To assist in the restoration work in the cyclone affected areas in the state, the Governor has given support to the fund. The officials gave information about this. A Raj Bhavan official told that the Governor has announced to assist in this fund on his own free will. With this, all the people have been requested to cooperate for the areas affected by this cyclone.

Earlier, the Governor had contributed 21 lakh rupees in the Chief Minister Relief Fund to fight Corona. He decided to give his 30 percent salary from March 2020 to February 2021. Let us know that there has been a lot of destruction due to Hurricane Amfan storm which has risen from the Bay of Bengal. A large number of people have lost their lives during this period. Odisha is also not untouched by the speed of this storm. The speed of this storm was more than 200 kilometers per hour. During this period, the cyclonic storm wreaked havoc in coastal states like West Bengal and Odisha, as well as many plains states.

For your information, let us tell you that in this disaster in the time of Corona crisis, Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamat Banerjee had made an aerial tour of the affected areas. During this time, PM also visited Odisha. Not only this, the Prime Minister also announced to provide financial assistance to the Chief Minister of both countries to get out of this disaster. The special thing is that this was Prime Minister's first visit outside Delhi after the lockdown in the country. During this time, he also followed social distancing and instead of joining hands, met all the Chief Ministers and officials with folded hands. Not only this, he also had a lotus on his face.
