On September 1, Ola Electric is getting ready to open the buying window for the freshly released S1 electric scooter in India. It costs Rs. 1 lakh, making it the brand's most cost-effective product (ex-showroom). Separately, the domestic EV manufacturer will also be offering discounts on the S1 Pro worth Rs. 5,500 in honour of Ganesh Chaturthi. Ola Electric has released the S1 model with a slightly more reasonable price tag after a successful run of more than a year with the S1 Pro. To draw in additional buyers, the scooters are now provided with a five-year extended warranty. To address the issues, the business is also releasing an enhanced MoveOS 2.0 software upgrade. The Ola S1 rests on a tubular frame and features an ergonomic riding position. It has a sleek LED taillamp, an indicator-mounted front apron, a single-piece seat, split-type grab rails, a smiley-shaped dual LED headlight, a flat footboard, angular mirrors, and a flush-fitted side stand. The scooter has 12-inch aluminium alloy wheels and a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity. A 3kWh battery pack and an 8.5kW electric motor provide power for the S1. The system is said to have a range of up to 141 kilometres on a single charge. The EV can go up to 95 km/h. The S1 has disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, as well as a Combined Braking System (CBS) for improved braking ability even on slick and uneven roads, for the safety of the rider. A single fork at the front and a mono-shock at the back of the electric scooter handle suspension functions. In India, the Ola S1 is priced at Rs. 1 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers who have reserved the electric scooter can buy it online starting on September 1 through the company's website.
