It said that with facial recognition technology, the company has collected the biometric data of the people of Texas without their consent.

In this case, Facebook is accused of capturing biometric information from the uploaded photos and videos of users without their knowledge. This data was not even deleted within a reasonable time. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said in a statement that this is also being said to be an example of the big tech company's fraud. It must be closed. He is going to continue to fight for the privacy and security of the people of Texas.

The case was first reported by Wall Street Journal. After which the news agency, citing this report, made the news even more viral. The Texas government is now seeking billions of rupees from the company as a penalty.

On this matter, Meta's spokesperson has said that these claims are baseless and they are going to defend themselves about it.
