Raipur: On the one hand, the Chhattisgarh government is carrying out a series of campaigns to eradicate Naxalism. Meanwhile, reports of Naxalite attacks are constantly coming to light from the state. The latest attack took place in Dantewada. So far, 11 people have been injured while one person has died in an IED blast by Naxalites here on Thursday. SP Abhishek Pallava has informed about this. Superintendent of Police (SP) Abhishek Pallava said that the incident took place around 7.30 am near Ghotia village under the Malwadi police station area, about 400 km from the capital Raipur. The victims were on their way to Dantewada in a vehicle during the attack. Abhishek said that in the meantime, the vehicle was hit by a blast, injuring two persons. A team of security forces rushed to the spot on receiving information. Pallava said the injured are being admitted to the district hospital. There have been several attacks by Naxalites in Dantewada in the past. A large number of people have died during this period. Dantewada district has been affected by Naxalites since its inception. However, Naxalites have also surrendered through various campaigns.
