Bhopal: The Indian men's hockey team has won the bronze medal by playing against Germany after finishing a 41-year wait at the Tokyo Olympics. On this historic occasion, there is a wave of greetings from all over the country. In the meantime, the Madhya Pradesh government has announced Rs 1 crore each to the players of Madhya Pradesh. In a tweet from Madhya Pradesh CMO, it says, "Indian men's hockey team has made India proud by winning a bronze medal in #Tokyo2020. Lal @VivekSagarpras1 of Madhya Pradesh, Itarsi, and Neelkant Sharma, who received training from MP Hockey Academy, was also part of the team. Both will be awarded Rs 1 crore each with Samman Nidhi: CM.''

 

 

On the other hand, Punjab Sports Minister Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi has also celebrated the joy and announced Rs 1 crore each to the team's Punjab players. Recently, he tweeted and wrote, "On this historic day of Indian hockey, I am happy to announce that Rs 1 crore will be given to the Punjab players of the team. We are waiting for you to return so that we can celebrate your victory.''

Let me tell you all that earlier President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also congratulated the team. In fact, President Ram Nath Kovind tweeted, "Congratulations to our men's hockey team for winning an Olympic medal in hockey after 41 years. The team showed exceptional skill, resilience, and determination to win. This historic victory will usher in a new era in hockey and inspire youngsters to move forward in the game.'' Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, "Historic. A day that will always be alive in the memory of every Indian. Congratulations to our men's hockey team for winning the bronze medal. With this achievement, they have captured the imagination of the entire country, especially our youth. India is proud of its hockey team.''
