Thiruvanandapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said on Monday that 2,816 Malayali students have been returned to the state since the start of rescue operations to bring back stranded Indians from Ukraine during the Russian offensive. In a Facebook post, the Chief Minsiter stated that 734 Malayali students rescued from Ukraine under 'Operation Ganga' arrived in Kerala on Monday, bringing the total number of such students repatriated from Ukraine to 2,816.He added that more students would arrive on Tuesday morning. However, the CM saud stated that there are still many Malayali students stranded in war-torn cities such as Sumy in eastern Ukraine who need to be rescued. In his post, he advised that the Indian Embassy's instructions regarding the rescue of stranded Indians be strictly followed.
