Bhubaneswar: The court sentenced the retired colonel of the army who killed his wife and cut her body into 300 pieces. About 6 years ago, retired Colonel Somnath Parida killed his 61-year-old wife and filled 300 pieces of her body in a tiffin box. The local court of Odisha on Tuesday sentenced him to life imprisonment. The court has given this decision based on the evidence of 24 witnesses and the scientific team. A penalty of 50 thousand rupees has also been imposed on the killer. Giving information, the public prosecutor Biren Kumar Panda has told that after hearing the sentence, Parida started crying bitterly in the court. There was an argument between retired Colonel Somnath Parida and his wife Ushashree about something. After this, in anger, Parida hit his wife's head with a flashlight. The woman died in the attack.
