Lucknow: A vegetable vendor of teenage died in police custody in Unnao, UP. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has now targeted the Yogi government over the issue. In fact, last Saturday, Owaisi accused the Yogi government of being communal. Making this allegation, he said, "An atmosphere of hatred is being created against Muslims in the state. If the name of the vegetable seller was a Hindu like Vivek Tiwari instead of Faisal, the UP government would have apologised to the victim's family for the incident and also provided financial assistance to them.'' At the same time, he added, "Such incidents clearly reveal the atmosphere of hatred in UP with Muslims. Based on evidence, about 56 per cent of UP policemen believe that Muslim criminals are criminals even before investigation. The state police is also full of hatred for Muslim youth.'' At the same time, he described it as a black spot on the UP government. Faisal, who sold vegetables on the roadside during the lockdown in Unnao, was beaten up by two policemen. Along with the same misbehaviour, his vegetables were also thrown into the drain. In the case, ASP Sasishekhar had claimed that "when the policemen were taking him on a bike to the police station, he fell down due to dizziness. He died during treatment. He was already in poor health. Doctors attributed the death to a heart attack. Angered by the death of the man in the case, his family created a ruckus by placing the body on the road saying that he died due to police beating. He also demanded compensation for the family and a government job for a member. 4.3 magnitude earthquake hits Ukhrul, Manipur Mark Ruffalo joins Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe in Yorgos Lanthimos` `Poor Things` PM Modi will hold high level meeting today on cyclone 'Yaas'
