19 people died in Karachi due to heavy rainfall

Karachi: 19 people have lost their lives in different incidents due to heavy rains in Karachi city of Pakistan. According to officials, for the first time since 1967, the maximum rainfall in a single day has been recorded. The Meteorological Department has said that Karachi recorded 223.5 mm of rain in just 12 hours on Thursday, with the city recording the highest rainfall in a single day.

Karachi, the country's largest city and financial capital, was devastated by heavy rains. The rains also led to waterlogging on the roads and all business activities are badly affected. According to media reports, monsoon rains have been prolonged and unusual in the country this year. According to the Meteorological Department, the rain will be like this for the next few days.

Torrential rains in Karachi have been disrupting life and business since morning and people are stranded due to flooding of roads. In such a bad situation, the commissioner of Karachi, Muhammad Suhail Rajput, has requested people not to leave the houses.
