Pakistan gets angry on passing of citizen amendment bill, calls it discriminatory bill

Islamabad: Amid the uproar and controversies, the Citizenship Amendment Bill was passed in the lower house of Parliament on Monday night. The neighboring country has opposed this by calling the 'Citizenship Amendment Bill' as a discriminatory bill. Pakistan has said that this bill is a complete violation of all bilateral agreements between the two countries and is particularly worrying for the rights and safety of minorities.

Pakistan's Foreign Ministry has said in its statement that the amended bill relating to citizenship passed by the Lok Sabha provides for citizenship of refugees of all religions, excluding Muslims from Pakistan and two other South Asian countries, which is completely unfair. This is a violation of all international agreements that discriminate on the basis of religion.

Pakistan has said that this new bill is a big step towards the 'Hindu Rashtra' being fabricated by right-wing Hindu leaders. This bill is a mixed result of the ideology of radical Hinduism and the ambition of dictatorship in the region. It is said in the statement that this is a wrong way to interfere in the internal affairs of neighbouring countries through religion, which we completely reject.
