Islamabad: The deadly corona virus infection that has spread across the world has now caught pace in Pakistan. Amidst the lockdown, the number of corona virus cases in Pakistan is increasing rapidly, due to which the number of infected people has reached 4,601, while 66 people have lost their lives. There have been 280 new cases of infection in Pakistan in the last 24 hours. The Ministry of National Health Service has informed on its website on Friday that four infected people of the corona virus have died in the last 24 hours. It states that the number of people who died due to corona virus has reached 66. 727 people have been cured of this disease, while 45 people are in critical condition. On the other hand, according to the provinces, 2,270 cases of Kovid-19 have been registered in Punjab province of Pakistan, 1128 in Sindh and 620 cases in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. While 219 cases have been registered in Balochistan, 215 in Gilgit Baltistan, 107 in Islamabad and 33 in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). According to official figures, 54,706 people have been screened so far, of which 2,478 people have been examined in the last 24 hours. The government has taken several steps to address the challenges of the corona virus, including making cash payments to the needy.
