Pakistan cricketer passes away at 38

Islamabad: Pakistan's first-class cricketer Shahzad Azam Rana has died of cardiac arrest at the age of 36. He played 95 first-class, 58 List A and 29 T20 matches. He has taken 388 wickets in first-class cricket, 81 in List A and 27 wickets in T20 cricket.

Even after taking a total of 496 wickets in his career, this player never got a chance to play international cricket for Pakistan. He used to play for Islamabad in the Pakistan Super League. However, since 2018, Shahzad has neither played a first-class match nor a List A match. The last time he landed on the field was during a match with the Marylebone Cricket Club that toured Pakistan in 2020.

In that match played between Northern (Pakistan) vs Marylebone Cricket Club, Shahzad Azam Rana took one wicket for 30 runs in the quota of 4 overs. After the death of this cricketer at such a young age, mourning has spread in Pakistan. Fans are expressing condolences on Twitter.
