FATF hands over 150 queries to Pakistan in response to compliance report

Islamabad: The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has sent 150 questions regarding the action taken against terrorism by the government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan. These questions have been sent in response to the compliance report given by Pakistan. At the same time, the FATF has asked the Imran government to reply in this regard by 8 January.

As per the information received from the sources, the FATF has asked the officials to ensure that persons associated with terrorist organizations are convicted and informed about the legal action taken to regulate the madrassas operating in the country. According to the Express Tribune report, according to sources in the Finance Ministry, Pakistan has received a questionnaire from the terrorist financing watchman which contains 150 questions. This new question paper has been sent after Islamabad presented its report in response to 22 questions raised by the FATF earlier this month.

Let me tell you that while addressing a set of new questions, Pakistan will inform the FATF about the recent action taken to stop money laundering and terrorist financing. At the same time, Pakistan FATF is also being told about its efforts to stop the illegal cross-border movement of currency.
