The US Parliament has changed the rules regarding the purchase of all tobacco products, including e-cigarettes. Now the minimum age limit for purchasing such products has been increased from 18 to 21 years.

America has passed a new bill for teenagers. Under this, now people below 21 years of age cannot buy any tobacco product. Earlier this age limit was only 18 years. President Trump's signature will be required to convert this into law. Notably, Massachusetts became the first state in the United States to implement the law prohibiting the sale and use of flavored vaping products immediately after 1 June 2020 on menthol cigarettes.

According to recently revealed figures, 27.5 percent of high school students have been using e-cigarettes since last month. Legally imposing age restrictions on the purchase of tobacco products would easily put a stop to this false bias of teenagers. Kentucky Republican Mitch McConnell started advocating for such an effort in April. He stressed the need to remove the leaning of teenagers from tobacco products. Last month, President Trump gave his support to the movement called 'Tobacco 21'. In October, the President asked the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to completely remove tobacco-flavored e-cigarettes from the market for teenagers.
