Pakistan hikes petrol price by Rs 2.31 per litre

Islamabad: Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has increased the prices of petrol by Pakistani Rupees 2.31 per litre. The hike reported amid accusations by the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) that the Imran Khan-led government cannot control inflation.

According to the media report, After the increment in the price, Petrol will now be available for Rs 106 per litre while diesel will be sold for Rs 110.24 per litre. Meanwhile, the new price of kerosene oil is Rs 73.65 per litre and light diesel oil will be sold at Rs 71.81.

Talking about fuel price in India, Petrol and diesel prices were paused for the 25th day on Friday after sixth straight day of hikes.Petrol price in Delhi was hiked by 30 paise per litre and diesel by 26 paise, the sixth straight day of increase in rates due to firming international oil prices on Monday. According to notifications from Indian Oil Corporation, Petrol price in Delhi is at Rs 83.71 per litre while diesel prices are Rs 73.87 per litre. Petrol and diesel prices that remained constant for 48 days, saw a rate revision on November 20 (Friday), as state-run oil marketing companies hiked fuel prices.
