17 people lost their lives in the last 24 hours due to heavy rains

Pakistan, India's neighbor, has been raining heavily for the past 24 hours. So far at least 17 people have died due to this rain while dozens have been injured. Quoting officials involved in relief and rescue operations, Xinhua reported that Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province was the worst affected by the torrential rain. 12 people died in rain-related accidents in this state.

Regarding the rains, officials said that at least 10 houses and a school building were destroyed due to heavy rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, while crops have suffered heavy damage. Due to heavy rains, there has been heavy destruction in various areas of Pakistan's Punjab and Balochistan Province. At least 5 people, including two children, have died in these areas. Disaster management officials of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab province have issued flood warnings due to untimely heavy rains.
