London: British police have decided to re-investigate the case of the disappearance of Shamsa, the daughter of Dubai ruler Sheikh Muhammad bin Rashid al-Maktoum. As recently as the London High Court in one of its orders, Shamsa was kidnapped in 2000 from the British city of Cambridge. Keeping this in mind, the court said that Shamsa was forcibly taken to Dubai by her father's people.

The daughter of Dubai was kidnapped by her daughter: According to the information, Sheikh Muhammad is also the Vice President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the PM. He is having a legal dispute with his 6th wife, Princess Haya. Haya has fled from Dubai and taken refuge in Britain. There they have demanded their security. During the hearing of the same case, the High Court said about Sheikh Muhammad that he had kidnapped his two daughters - Shamsa from Cambridge and Latifa from India by sea. So Princess Haya's concern is genuine. Provide them with administrative security.

The Ministry of External Affairs intervened and directed the investigation to be stopped: It is also being said that in the year 2000, the case of Shamsa's disappearance from Cambridge was lodged in the police station. But the British Foreign Ministry intervened in the case and directed the investigation to be stopped. According to the information received, this was done due to close relations with the UK's UAE. David Beck, the then investigating officer, has now retired. On Saturday, 7 March 2020, he told the British media that he was asked to stop the investigation of missing Shamsa by citing special sensitivity. It was also revealed during the High Court hearing that the then British Foreign Minister Robin Cook had a clear role in stopping the investigation into Shamsa's disappearance. This information has been made public this week.
