The Asian Development Bank (ADB) said in its assessment report that Pakistan may have to bear a loss of $ 6.1 million (about Rs 450 crore) due to the virus.

It is also estimated that if an outbreak of the virus occurs, it could cause huge losses of up to five billion dollars (about 37 thousand crores). In such a situation, nine lakh 46 thousand people will be unemployed with 1.57 percent loss to GDP. So far six cases of coronavirus have been reported in Pakistan.

The Express Tribune newspaper on Friday quoted a Manila-based ADB report as saying that Pakistan's economy could face a loss of around Rs 450 crore due to the Coronavirus.
