Indigenous vaccine test stuck due to documentation issues

New Delhi: The havoc of Coronavirus which has been continuously increasing in the country for the past several days. It is becoming a cause of great trouble for the general public today. Every day the death toll due to this virus is increasing, but it is not possible to reduce. It is not yet clear how long will it to take to get rid of this virus. But due to continuous testing for the past several days, the indigenous corona vaccine is now stuck in many paper works. It has been learned that the test of this virus has been started in only one of the 12 hospitals. If the vaccine dose did not reach any of the 11 other hospitals, then registration of those who got the test was not issued. So far this test has been allowed from the Ethics Committee of AIIMS Delhi.

According to the information received, the situation is when ICMR Director-General Dr. Balaram Bhargava has completed all the registrations related to the test by July 7, 2020. But orders were issued immediately after finishing the second phase of testing before August 15 and sharing its results. On Wednesday, July 8, 2020, in a meeting with senior scientists of the ICMR of the Union Health Ministry, it has been learned that the test of covaxine has been started in the Hyderabad. The results of which can be revealed in about 28 days.

It has been learned that this vaccine has been made in the lab of Bharat Biotech Company located in Gnome Valley in Hyderabad. Let us tell you that the first test of this vaccine was done on rats and rabbits. But still no public results of this test have been revealed. On the other hand, Dr. T. Jacob John, former epidemiologist of CMC Vellore, told that a better test of coronavirus is going to be done on monkeys. The test is to be conducted on 1,125 people between the ages of 12-65 in 12 hospitals. However, in the CTRI application itself, the company has confirmed to take one year and three months to complete both the stage tests.
