Monsoon Session: Opposition continues to create ruckus in Parliament, House adjourned again

New Delhi: The opposition's stand in Parliament continued on Tuesday. Opposition MPs raised slogans in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya sabha houses, with posters in their hands and reaching the well. The Rajya Sabha Speaker adjourned the House till 12 o'clock amid a huge uproar. Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha was adjourned for some time amid sloganeering, but the Lok Sabha Speaker adjourned the House till 12 noon amid the continuous uproar.

Earlier, as soon as the Rajya Sabha met for the day, there was a ruckus. Opposition MPs reached the well. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi also requested for the House to function, and the Rajya Sabha Speaker also asked the agitating MPs to allow the House to run in a strong tone, but the opposition MPs refused, after which the House was adjourned till 12 noon. The BJP parliamentary party met before the House met.

In a BJP parliamentary party meeting, PM Modi said that the opposition is not allowing the House to function, it is an insult to Parliament and the Constitution, an insult to democracy, an insult to the people. Rahul Gandhi, after the tea party, tried to corner the government on the issue of price rise. Congress MPs including Rahul Gandhi and MPs from other parties also cycled from the Constitution Club to Parliament.
