New Delhi: A piece of good news is coming out for the common people who are suffering from the brunt of inflation. After the intervention of the government, companies have started reducing the price of edible oil. Now the new name of Mother Dairy has also been included in this order. Mother Dairy has now reduced the prices of soyabean and rice bran oil by up to Rs 14 per litre. The company attributed this to the decline in global prices of edible oils. Mother Dairy has taken this step at a time when the government had directed the companies selling edible oil to bring down the prices. The government had clearly asked the oil companies to pass on the maximum benefit of the fall in international prices of edible oil to the customers. According to the media report, a mother dairy spokesperson said, "We are passing on the benefits of the government's intervention to the customers. That is why we have reduced the prices of Dhara Soyabean Oil and Dhara Rice Bran Oil by Rs 14 per litre. Oil with the new MRP will start to be available in the market from next week.'' After this price cut, Dhara Refined Soyabean Oil (Poly Pack) will now be sold at the rate of Rs 180 per litre. It is currently priced at Rs 194 per litre. Similarly, the price of Dhara Refined Rice Bran Oil will now come down from Rs.194 to Rs.185 per litre. The company has also said that the prices of sunflower oil may come down in the next 15-20 days. Earlier, Mother Dairy had announced a cut in oil prices by up to Rs 15 per litre on June 16. At the same time, Baba Ramdev's Patanjali has cut the price of edible oil by up to Rs 25 per litre since April 2022. Patanjali has reduced palm oil and soya oil by Rs 20 each per litre.
