Srinagar: People's Democratic Party (PDP) leaders have postponed a meeting with their party president and former Mehbooba Mufti of Jammu and Kashmir. The delegation of 18-member PDP leaders headed by Ved Mahajan was scheduled to visit Srinagar on Monday to meet Mehbooba Mufti. PDP leaders were allowed to meet former Jammu and Kashmir CM Mehbooba Mufti at 11 am on Monday. However, the PDP leaders have not given any reason to postpone the decision to meet Mehbooba Mufti. Earlier, delegation of National Conference leaders met Farooq Abdullah and his son Omar Abdullah of his party. The Jammu and Kashmir administration had given permission to the party leaders to meet Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah. Let us tell you that since the removal of Article 370 of the Constitution giving special status to Jammu and Kashmir, leaders of many political parties including PDP President Mehbooba Mufti, Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah have been under house arrest. Although now the Modi government at the Center has ended the house arrest of all political leaders in Jammu, but in Kashmir, the leaders are still under house arrest. Leaders of political parties like National Conference, Congress and Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party have been released in Jammu.
